Konami has announced a new Yu-Gi-Oh! collector-focused set called Magnificent Monsters, releasing on September 4, 2026.
This set celebrates some of the most famous monsters from across the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime series and introduces a brand-new ultra-rare card type that is expected to be highly collectible.
What's Inside?
Each box contains:
- 3 booster packs
- 5 cards per pack
- 3 bonus Secret Rare cards
The set contains 126 cards total, including:
- New cards
- Reprints
- Alternate artwork versions
- Premium foil treatments
The Big Attraction: Grand Master Rares
The most exciting feature is a new rarity called Grand Master Rare.
These cards are:
- Individually numbered
- Limited to only 100 copies worldwide
- Available for 18 different cards
That means there are only 100 copies of each Grand Master Rare in existence, making them some of the rarest Yu-Gi-Oh! cards ever printed.
For collectors, these are expected to be the main chase cards of the set.

Classic Anime Monsters Return
Magnificent Monsters focuses on iconic monsters used by the main characters throughout the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime.
Some featured monsters include:
- Dark Magician
- Kuriboh
- Elemental HERO Flame Wingman
- Stardust Dragon
- Number 39: Utopia
- Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon
- Decode Talker
These cards receive new artwork and updated versions designed for modern play.
Extended Art Versions
The 18 featured monsters will also receive special versions with artwork that extends beyond the normal card frame.
These cards will be available as:
- Extended Art Ultra Rares
- Extended Art Starlight Rares
Collectors who enjoy unique artwork variants will likely be interested in these.
New Cards
In addition to reprints and alternate arts, the set includes:
- 6 brand-new boss monsters
- New support cards
- Updated effects for classic themes
This means the set offers something for both collectors and players.
Magnificent Monsters appears to be aimed primarily at collectors.
The combination of:
- Serialized Grand Master Rares
- Popular anime monsters
- Premium artwork
- Starlight Rares
makes it one of the most collectible Yu-Gi-Oh! products announced for 2026.
For many fans, the chance to pull a serialized Grand Master Rare will be the biggest reason to buy boxes.
